Polygraph tests have been used by the probation service since 2014 as a licence condition for those convicted of certain sexual offences under supervision, and monitoring will be extended to terrorist offenders as part of the upcoming Counter-Terrorism and Sentencing Bill. This Bill is the largest overhaul of terrorist sentencing in decades and will reform the monitoring of offenders to help keep our communities safe.
